What the Advanced Driving Training Course Covers
The advanced driving training programme at The Dreamial Driving School is split into four essential areas of driving which are not covered in a beginner’s course. These areas are covered through specific lessons with an approved teacher on the specific roads they will be driving on.
Motorway and Highway Driving
Motorway driving sessions include the M-2 and M-11 approach roads, joining and leaving the motorway into fast moving traffic, maintaining safe following distances at high speed, driving on a multi-lane motorway and safe overtaking technique. Students are also taught how to exit the motorway and how to be aware of speed and what to do if someone suddenly changes speed in the traffic. This module is of special relevance to students of Bahria Town and DHA who have direct access to motorways.
Defensive Driving Techniques
Defensive driving lessons help students to see potential hazards before they happen. This is the ability to read traffic for several seconds ahead, manage blind spots, keep a safe stopping distance in all weather conditions, identify aggressive drivers and position the vehicle properly in all road situations. Defensive driving is the skill that helps to avoid accidents and it is rarely taught in traditional beginner driving courses.
Night Driving and Low Visibility Conditions
The night driving sessions are held after sunset on actual roads of Lahore. Learners are taught how to use the headlights, how to switch between headlights and dazzler, how to adjust speed for low visibility, how to use lights when driving at night on an unlit road or when driving at night at an unlit intersection. The night driving sessions are part of the Standard and Elite advanced packages.

Emergency Procedures and Hazard Response
Emergency sessions include controlled emergency braking, tyre blow out response, skid recovery on wet roads, vehicle breakdown procedure on a main road and correct response to sudden hazards. These skills are learnt in a safe controlled environment before being used on real roads in Lahore under the supervision of the instructor.
